CertainTeed Boardwalk®
Composite Decking & Railing.
Choose Boardwalk. The Look of Wood. The Durability Of A Composite. Thinking about adding or replacing a deck? Before you choose pressure-treated wood or other deck lumber, think again. Now there's a better choice that gives you the beauty of wood without the constant maintenance - Boardwalk Composite Decking and Railing from CertainTeed.
Years of research and development have gone into creating Boardwalk Composite Decking and Railing to meet the needs of
today's active lifestyles.
Boardwalk's high-performance characteristics make it the right choice for exterior applications such as decks, docks, porches, pool surrounds, walkways,
stairs, railings and more. And since Boardwalk requires virtually no maintenance, you can spend more time enjoying your deck, less time taking care of it.
CertainTeed Boardwalk Composite Decking and Railing offers the products you need to build a low-maintenance deck, increasing the outdoor living space of your home. So you can spend more time enjoying your deck and less time maintaining it.
Want to see the difference
between wood
and composite
lumber? Just wait a while.
It doesn't take long to see the advantage of Boardwalk versus pressure-treated or
other wood decks. In just a short period of time, treated lumber can begin to shrink, warp, splinter and crack. Boardwalk, on the other hand, will never splinter, crack or harbor insects. So the good looks last!
The ultimate decking lumber.
Long-lasting good looks is only a part of the Boardwalk performance story. Boardwalk has been designed for easy installation and long-term weatherability. Boardwalk also features a Class 1 fire rating - the best in the industry.

"Green" means Boardwalk is cleaner, smarter, stronger.
Only Boardwalk is made with CertainTeed's patented EcoTech™ material. EcoTech blends PVC, a weatherable }polymer, with recycled natural fibers for a
smooth, even-textured,
product. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a tough and durable plastic used to manufacture vinyl building products, such as siding and windows. Most
competitive composites, however, use polyethyleile (PE), a softer plastic used in grocery bags and trash can liners.
EcoTech gives Boardwalk numerous advantages. Apart from its Class 1 fire rating, Boardwalk has a strength that allows greater maximum joist spans. This factor
significantly increases the design possibilities when using Boardwalk in diagonal or "herringbone" patterns. EcoTech also contributes to Boardwalk's excellent fastener
retention and consistent good looks.
Beautiful ideas begin with CertainTeed Boardwalk.
Boarwalk is great all around your home exterior - on the back deck as well as the front porch. Its heavy-duty performance features mean it can also take on light commercial applications too, such as docks, boat sips, piers, marinas, walkways and more.
