Light Gauge Panels for Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings
ADVANTAGE speaks Auto-Cad, and Purlins & Girts. These products are primarily designed for projects which require an exterior finish other than metal. Although we can fabricate and complete composite units using ACM (Aluminum Composite Material), this is the only metal finished panel we can supply.
All the buildings in this section started with a pre-engineered frame. The builder submitted floor plans and elevations to us prior to commencing the project, and we estimated the exterior in the finish required by his customer. After the builder orders the metal building, we will work with the manufacturer of the frame and the roof to assist in details which will assure your project’s success.
These panels add value to your project. Real value, the kind that shows up in appraisals.
Panels are used extensively with poured in place structures. When designing for this method of construction, we want the panels to be outside of the column line, so the building will need to be drawn that way. Using a fire-stop between floors, the owner will gain space in the building.
Different finishes can be applied to the same panel.
ADVANTAGE can supply an entire building, including the structure. These buildings are usually steel, and may use bar joists, purlins, metal or wood trusses, depending on the design.
We will supply sealed drawings for permitting. Generally these buildings are approximately 10,000 square feet or less.
Bar joists will work well with our light gauge steel panel system, and if they are less than 55’ (60’) in one direction, this is the best way to go. Once the building moves to a larger footprint, columns will have to be added to support additional joists. Although joists are available in longer lengths, they are not practical unless the building is very tall, as they can get very deep.
Nearly all of the panels manufactured by ADVANTAGE are available in 4 X 8’ sheets. Some finishes are available in 4 X 10’.
Finishes can be mixed and matched even on panels. To do that, we will layout your building and number the panels for erection. This can be done for new construction, usually wood, or for retrofitting existing buildings.
