Taltos.
Superb Thin Stone Systems from Italy.
We are pleased to distribute and fabricate Taltos, thin stone systems from Italy.
The product is unique, in that a resin is pulled through a block, consolidated, then pulled through individual sheets to stabilize any faults or fissures prior to fabrication. Full sheets are slightly larger than 4' X 8'
The benefits are:
The process makes available approximately 150 stones from all over the world. Many coveted marble patterns are unusable in their natural state due to fissures and flaws.
Since the process makes so much more of the block available, it is easier to "book match", or work out the patterns, since the veins are closer together.
The pieces are thin, 1/4" for floors, and 3/8" or 1/2" for walls. The 3/8" system will need to use a face fastening system. Although the thinner product can be used for walls, the 1/2" allows for a blind fastening system.
Quarz
Marble, onyx, alabaster in an extra thin sheet can be laminated to glass with the patented process TP5@ Vacuum.
Properties, Advantages, Benefits
Quarz Q and Quarz T are marble panels that let the light pass through. Only by this exclusive process is it possible to obtain this effect.
The beauty of natural stone is increased by the transparency and its properties (color and veining) create a unique and awe-inspiring appearance.
Quarz U is a reinforced extra thin marble panel with both surfaces protected by a glass sheet. Reinforcement and glass allows the panel to be used in exterior cladding.
Glass protects the stone surface from chemical attacks and pollution, maintaining the natural beauty of the stone. This is available from 3/5ths" to wider widths depending on the glass selection.
Cladding
New Construction, using ADVANTAGE composite studwall units, can be fabricated with a blind fastening system. We recommend using a rain screen technology consistent with ADVANTAGE normal means and methods.
Flooring

Patterns can be precut by the factory, such as the one installed in the Denver Airport. A unique leveling system, call a "lash leveler" is employed between slabs.
Once the sections are installed, and properly shimmed, the adhesive is allowed to set. The shims, and the top of the lash leveler is snapped off, and grout is applied between pieces.
Retrofits
Old buildings can be reclad using Taltos and a series of aluminum extrusions.
Careful attention must be paid to finishing around the windows and doors.

Aston Martin Show Rooms
A name that has always been synonymous with tradition, quality, and craftsmanship combined with creativity and innovation. These ideals have also been use to select the products for the new Aston Martin's headquarters in the
United Kingdom and dealership network throughout the world.
The products are the embodiment of Aston Martin, reflecting the power of the idea, the aesthetic and inner beauty of technically advanced solutions.
Roman Travertine, a timeless beautiful natural material used throughout the world for centuries, has been used by Aston Martin for floor tiles, wall tiles, furniture, signage, and reception desks.
It is generally cream ivory in color with some horizontal graining. In its natural form Travertine has many flaws, which would usually restrict the use of such a
beautiful material, but this is where Taltos products differ: as the slabs are filled and reinforced under vacuum in a patented process, as well as cut in ultralight ¼" or conventional ¾" thickness.
Each batch is carefully selected, commencing with the blocks at the quarry, by sequentially numbering all the slabs up to the cut to size elements to ensure the degree of matching and consistency required.
History with no future is just history. History with a future represents heritage. Today Aston Martin combines culture, tradition, and craftsmanship with cutting edge high technology.
The power to change has always characterized Aston Martin, where leadership is not considered an inheritance, but a continuous challenge and where flexibility in thinking and in production are prerequisites. Taltos has the same mission: the culture and tradition of natural stone combined with advanced technologies and forward thinking making stone easier to work.
